Granville Island

Another beautiful day in paradise. I spent the day at work but was bolstered by the memory of a great weekend with my crazy family…

After our Robson Square adventure on Sunday morning we drove over the Granville St. Bridge and spent some time at Granville Island.

We were in search of white “not girly” shoes for our little miss – having her first communion in less than two months! The Kids Market had exactly the right ones.

We have strict shoe standards in our family – comfort is essential but style can not be compromised! My daughter is no different from the many generations of Peden/Lawrence women who have gone before her… She is feisty about her shoe selection. (Hopefully these will not cause angst on stormy Swiss alps… we’ve lived that dream already.)

Shoe shopping complete, we treated ourselves to a stroll and some gelato. Sunny days in Vancouver need to be celebrated with purpose!

Two dozen flavours to choose from… What would you choose? Double dark chocolate…

Red raspberry…

Life can be hard. It can be draining and difficult and some days can drag you down. Don’t give in. Look up at that great big sky and know that blue is just beyond the clouds… That your sunny day is about to break through. And that there is always (always!) gelato to bring the sweet you might need. Spring is on the way!
